LEGO Technic teams up with filmmakers to recreate outlandish Fast & Furious scene
LEGO Technic returns to the Fast & Furious franchise with two recent releases and a new video puts them at the centre of the action.
The LEGO Group has teamed up with filmmakers Dino Julius and Luke Hrgovic to put new releases LEGO Technic 42204 Fast and Furious Toyota Supra MK4 and 42210 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Car into animated recreations of a scene from Furious 7, where cars are jettisoned out of the back of a cargo plane. They land and immediately start driving, after parachutes shoot out of the top of the car, to race through the city.
The two cars, neither of which were in the original movie scene, show off various features of the Technic sets, including 42210’s new drift function and the moving pistons that the engines of both cars have under the hood.

There’s also a nod to Technic heritage and the original Fast & Furious screen, with an appearance at the end of 42111 Dom’s Dodge Charger. Although the set is now retired, it makes a dramatic entrance to the last few shots of the short movie.

You can see the behind the scenes of the clip here, with insight from filmmakers Dino Julius and Luke Hrgovic. LEGO Technic 42204 Fast and Furious Toyota Supra MK4 and 42210 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Car are available to buy now.
