Brick Fanatics’ Review Policy

Brick Fanatics reviews are written by a core team of experienced enthusiastic journalists who have a passion for all things LEGO-related. As a trusted, reliable, valid and authoritative source of LEGO news and information, we hold ourselves to a high editorial standard, one that also applies to our reviews.

Brick Fanatics reviews offer impartial, independent and objective opinions that aim to inform our readers with unbiased commentary that is detailed, reasoned and evidenced. We offer both text and video-based reviews on our YouTube channel that can cover such varied topics as LEGO sets, minifigures, books, video games, promotional items and more.

The Brick Fanatics review policy is intended to be fair, even-handed and non-biased, with no incentives received for reviews.

Many of our reviews contain links to LEGO.com and third-party retailers, for readers to make their own online purchases. The pricing information listed in each review is correct at the time of writing and is as current and accurate as possible. Brick Fanatics earns a small commission when products are purchased using our affiliate links, but that has no impact on our review approach.

Brick Fanatics reviews include an information bar (above), which contains everything readers need to know about a product, including (but not limited to) release date, UK/US/EU prices, piece count (if applicable) the number of minifigures/mini-dolls included (if applicable) and a link to purchase the item being reviewed.

All reviews are the honest opinion of Brick Fanatics and while some products are provided by the LEGO Group and other companies, this in no way guarantees a favourable review. All opinions expressed are fair in the context of the item being reviewed.

To summarise these thoughts, each review ends with a section explicitly stating our honest opinion, such as the example below. This is to let our readers know exactly what we think of the product being reviewed in a concise manner.

As well as several images being featured throughout the review, almost all of our reviews also include an extensive gallery towards the end of the article with every image featured and not featured in the review.

This allows us to showcase every detail of a review without needing to verbally explain what can plainly be seen, turning our focus instead towards the most important aspects of the product being reviewed and what our readers need to know.

At the very end of each review, a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ) is included to highlight the most crucial information about the product being reviewed for quick reference.

At the time of writing, our list of frequently asked questions covers how long it takes to build a LEGO set, how many pieces are included, the measurements of the models in a set and the price.

Depending on the product being reviewed, this list of frequently asked questions may change to best adapt and reflect the important details that need to be covered separately from the main review.

Please note that in 2024, our review style changed to focus on more specific aspects of LEGO sets and products that deserved to be covered in more detail.
